ST. LOUIS, MO – December 12, 2006 – Donald Trump bans bad breath in the boardroom on the new season of NBC’s “The Apprentice.” Joining blue chip brands including The Dial Corporation and Lexus, leading oral care brand SmartMouth partners with “The Apprentice” for a special task on the new season which premieres Sunday, January 7 (9:30-11 p.m. ET). “The Apprentice” will return to its regular timeslot of 9-10 p.m. ET on Sunday, January 21 following the first two special 90-minute episodes airing January 7 and January 14.
SmartMouth makes its network television debut on the upcoming season of NBC’s “The Apprentice” and CEO Dr. Susanne Cohen appears alongside Donald Trump as a judge whose decision will impact the fate of the candidates vying for the most sought after job in television. The exciting task for this episode sends the candidates to the Los Angeles Times to create a Sunday advertising supplement for SmartMouth Mouthwash. The candidates must create an advertisement that is visually appealing and brand enhancing but the key element to their campaign is to position SmartMouth Mouthwash as the only product available that can eliminate and prevent bad breath – including morning breath – 24 hours a day with just twice-daily use.
“For a boutique yet burgeoning brand like SmartMouth, an appearance on a hit show like ‘The Apprentice’ will have major implications on the growth and prosperity of our company,” said Dr. Susanne Cohen, President and CEO “It will be a thrill to appear on national television with Donald Trump and to witness these sharp candidates create an advertising campaign for our product. We hope this opportunity will result in tremendous sales growth and introduce the revolutionary concept of twice a day for 24 hour fresh breath to millions of Americans.”
Developed and recommended by dentists, SmartMouth introduces a whole new way to avoid bad breath. It uses a technological breakthrough that continually neutralizes bacteria…preventing any odor for 12 hours after each rinse. Just one rinse in the morning prevents bad breath all day…one rinse at night and you actually wake up with no morning breath! When used as directed, SmartMouth Mouthwash was proven to be effective for 24 hours in a double-blind clinical study published by the Journal of Clinical Dentistry in 2004, ensuring that you’ll never have to worry about a bad breath moment again.
About SmartMouth
Zinc ion technology is the foundation of the SmartMouth Mouthwash formulation. SmartMouth was developed by Dr. Marvin Cohen, Chairman of Triumph Pharmaceuticals Inc., and author of the halitosis section of the 1998 Medical Edition of the Encyclopedia Britannica; and Dr. Susanne Cohen, President and CEO. This patented system attacks bad breath in two ways. First, it eliminates any bad breath that already exists in your mouth. Second, its zinc ion technology neutralizes bacteria, preventing them from producing new bad breath for at least 12 hours after each rinse.
